Opening Reception: Rooted Abstractions

Rooted Abstractions brings together the distinct yet connected explorations of Dariush Vaziri and Sunhee Kim Jung. Vaziri reinterprets portraits drawn from family archives as well as iconic personalities, layering abstraction over memory and history. Kim Jung, in contrast, distills plants into bold, graphic forms that celebrate life and growth. Together, their works reveal how roots, whether personal, cultural, or natural, continue to shape and transform us.
