To shape our destiny, we must first master our past. The Shahnameh is the legacy that gathers us around the fire of our own story, so that we do not surrender our future to ruin; it keeps the flame of connection alive and resists silence and forgetting. Many of us know the stories of the Shahnameh and its heroes; yet few of us have ever read the book itself. Too often, our knowledge comes secondhand, through the words and retellings of others, rather than from the text itself.

In these gatherings, we will read the Shahnameh together, word by word, reflecting and exploring as we go, uncovering its hidden layers, so that we may connect our history with our destiny and bridge classical literature to modern life.
