"Nature Reawakened: The Art of Spring and Renewal"

Celebrate the transformative power of nature as it awakens and renews with the changing seasons. This exhibit invites artists to explore themes of growth, rebirth, and the resilience of the natural world, capturing the vibrant energy of spring and the cycles of renewal that define our planet. From budding flowers and flourishing landscapes to the quiet renewal of ecosystems, "Nature Reawakened" highlights the dynamic relationship between life, time, and transformation.

Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly, embracing both figurative and abstract styles. Whether through vivid depictions of the natural world or through abstract expressions of its rhythms and energies, all forms of creativity are welcomed to reflect on the ever-renewing beauty of Earth.

Artists are invited to submit their work in various media of drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, photography, digital and mixed media.

Work must be hanging or pedestal ready on arrival at the gallery. Work may be no longer than 48” in its longest dimension and weigh no more than 50 pounds. The gallery will have the right to refuse any work that arrives not ready for displaying.

Eligibility:

• Open to all artists 18 years and older
• All visual art media will be considered.

How to apply:

• Please submit jpeg images of up to 3 artworks for consideration to: roya@parsplace.org with subject line: OPEN CALL – Nature Reawakened: The Art of Spring and Renewal
• Images must be submitted in jpeg format only with the following information in the caption of the image in the exact order: First name, Last name, “Name of the artwork”, medium, dimensions: height, width, depth, year, price. Submission will be refused if this format is not followed.
• Work must not be older than 2020.

• Image Submission Tips: If you are submitting a 3D work, create a tile image for the submission so that other sides can be seen.
• Include a short artist statement, no longer than 200 words, link to your website/Instagram in the email.

Entry fee:

$15 application fee for up to 3 images, $5 for each additional image.

Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. Applications without payment will not be considered.

Only original artworks are accepted and allowed; artworks cannot be substituted once accepted. No AI image will be accepted. The gallery will take a 30% commission fee on sold works. We encourage you listing the artwork for sale, but it is not a requirement.

Deadline to apply: February 23, 11:59 pm EST.

Notification letter: February 25, 2025

Drop off of your work at gallery: March 3 - 7, 2025, between 10 am to 5 pm (no work will be accepted after this date.

Exhibition dates: March 8 - April 20, 2025

Opening Reception: Mar 9, 2025
