A Conversation with Donya Ziraksari & Golara Haghtalab
Join us for a virtual conversation with Donya Ziraksari & Golara Haghtalab on longing, belonging and letting go, led by Termeh Rassi.
Donya Ziraksari, an engineer by day and writer/filmmaker by night, was born and raised in Iran and moved to the United States in 2007 as a religious refugee. Tehran to Miami is a one-of-a-kind memoir that follows the story of Donya, a woman suffering religious persecution in 1980s Iran.
Golara Haghtalab is a multidisciplinary creative and management consultant. In the midst of the recent social justice movements that were filled with voices wishing to be heard, Golara was inspired to share her own voice in her memoir Immigrant: Courage Required.
The program is in English.
